1/26/2026 40 Comments Urgent Prayer Request After about 36 hours back at home, we had to return to the Emergency Room at Texas Children’s Hospital. It was so good to be home, but truthfully, EvanMarie never really felt well enough to enjoy her normal comforts or routine. As hard as it is, this turn is not unexpected. The powerful medications she’s receiving in chemotherapy are making it difficult for her to keep food and fluids down. Apparently this is not uncommon right on the heals of surgery. Our primary team is now recommending IV fluids and anti-nausea medication to help her body through these side effects. So, here we are. Today, we are asking for urgent prayers, that the side effects would soften, that her little body would find relief, and that she would be wrapped in comfort and peace. As always, we place our hope in the healing power of Jesus, trusting that He is near and attentive to every need. Thank you for lifting our sweet girl up today. Your prayers mean everything to us. And say a prayer for her mama and daddy and siblings too while you are at it. This is a beautiful and horrific battle we are engaged in, one that we are fighting together. God’s grace sustains us. Blessed Stanley, our brother, pray for us. AMDG

I’m Ashley. My mum Glenda is right, to degree, but I don’t think she understands we are in food desert, I understand she wants to make food from recipes. I tried to tell her but that didn’t go well and forced into this mess. Cooking is a nightmare with her. We are out of town. Even back at home where there’s more, cooking will be nightmare. She has mental health issues. Things are getting worse. Hope have the time to wash the extra dishes, as when I did something recently, due to something she didn’t tell me I wasn’t supposed to do, long story, but it took longer than usual to wash dishes. It’s supposed to snow in the next while, hope it snows very little or not at all, as it snowed a lot recently, and hope it doesn’t snow on Wednesday as I have an old medical scooter which hope still works, and I need to go to physio and water (from snow) can damage the battery.

I’m Ashley. I made an error on an email; I sent another email correcting it. Hope they don’t ignore the email with correction. It's to book ride next Sunday to church. Hope to make to church early enough to talk to priest. I might have to use my walker, again. My legs are hurting now, and hope they recover soon. My dad Al is sick and have medical tests Monday, hope goes well. My mum Glenda is working online today hope during the last few hours she has makes more money than earlier today.
